The developer of Ama’s Lullaby – Prologue — Mercy Ground Creations — is essentially a one-man powerhouse: Marc Chevallereau. Marc began playing computer games at a young age and ultimately earned a Master’s Degree in 3D Computer Graphics. After freelancing for a number of years, he began creating short CGI films. This permitted him to hone his skills, but he didn’t care for the lack of interactivity.

Eventually, Marc started teaching 3D computer graphics at a Parisian art school — a position he still holds. This affords him enough free time to work on his own projects.

I’ll let Marc take it from here: Throughout the years, I have had the opportunity to develop my abilities and know-how in different fields: from short-movie making (writing scenario, editing…), to 3D (modeling, texturing & lighting, animating, rendering, compositing), to film and music video editing, team management, music production (composing, recording, mixing), and programming.

This brings us to Ama’s Lullaby – Prologue. The game is captioned Prologue, as it’s an introduction to the game world; however, it’s also a game with a beginning and an end. You won’t be left dangling.

You are Ama, a young computer prodigy, who travels to the first Earth colony on another planet. It’s a facility built for humans by machines for which she, together with her father, has designed the AI.

You discover, however, that something has gone wrong. The inhabitants are behaving strangely. It’s up to you to uncover the truth. It’s a truth that will rock your world (and not in a good way, either).

If the Kickstarter is successful and Prologue is released, the balance of the game — which has already been written — will go into production.

So come on, ladies and gents. Ama’s Lullaby – Prologue needs your backing. If you like what you see, grab your wallets and head over to Kickstarter by March 25th.

If all goes as planned, Ama’s Lullaby – Prologue will be released on Windows, Mac and Linux in Spring 2019. Let’s help make it happen.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
