The Padre is a voxel-based 3D horror adventure with a retro-game feel.

The character you play is also called The Padre. Your task is to unravel the mystery of a cardinal’s disappearance.

You find yourself trapped with an evil presence in an old mansion. You’ll not only be solving puzzles, you’ll be fending off monsters by using firearms, faith and even your bare hands. And…uh-oh…the game has permadeath.

You must survive over 200 scenes of horror. Each of the mansion’s rooms offers a new challenge and different kind of death.

According to the developer, “The Padre is not an easy game suitable for anyone – in the vein of LucasArts classics and Alone in the Dark, it’s a difficult journey, designed specifically for gamers keen on solving complicated puzzles through a lengthy gameplay experience.” We are promised a narrative full of twists and turns with an astonishing ending.

Developer Shotgun with Glitters is “a group of game-crazed enthusiasts working in a virtual team that are not limited by country borders. Although originating in Europe, we have team members all over the world who share our passion. We are on a quest to create games missing from the market. Games that don’t exist anymore or never exited before.”
