The Last Door Chapters 1 – 3 Review – October 28, 2013

The Last Door: Season 2, Episode 1 – The Playwright picks up where Season 1 left off. We meet Dr. John Wakefield. psychiatrist to Season 1’s protagonist Jeremiah Devitt. Dr. Wakefield sets out to find his patient, who has mysteriously disappeared. The doctor is soon drawn into a haunting web of forbidden knowledge, madness and a deep conspiracy hiding it all.

Enrique Cabeza, Creative Director, The Game Kitchen: “We truly cannot wait to release the new Season 2, we’re very excited to introduce a lot of surprising revelations to the players who have waited patiently since Season 1. We have created a much bigger map to explore, with more characters, more puzzles, and more mysteries to solve than the previous season, which means more gameplay time. The wide screen graphics are better than ever with new effects, like raining and snowing. And you can’t miss the new Carlos Viola soundtrack, it will chill your bones!”

The Last Door: Season 2 Collector’s Edition is to be released in 2016 for PC, Mac and Linux. Episode 1 can be yours now on Steam Early Access.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
