Release Date: February 6, 2019
Platform: Xbox One, Windows

Set during the 25th Century’s Intergalactic Age of Discovery, you will explore the frontiers of outer space in search of rare mysteries to unlock. Travel to seven uncharted planets while facing challenges such as dangerous flora, treacherous terrain, dangerous obstacles and immense, emigmatic structures.

Reshape colorful terrain, and mold stylized minimalist landscape to create mountains or chasms. Gather resources to craft new tools and modules at fully customizable bases, then pack those bases onto vehicles and shuttles to fuel further forays into the unknown.

Explore alone or play co-op with up to seven other players.

Joe Tirado, Communications Director, System Era Softworks: Astroneer reflects on the legacy of human space exploration and imagines the future. We want to inspire a sense of wonder and reverence for the beautiful universe we live in, while promoting ideals such as creativity, tackling adversity and outside-the-box thinking.

We’ve been on this adventure with our community for over two years now and it’s thanks to them that we’ve been able to polish Astroneer’s terraforming, crafting, and multiplayer. With 1.0, we’re bringing more content so our veteran explorers have as much to look forward to as those just blasting off with us at launch.

Astroneer is now available for Windows on Steam, and Xbox One.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
