Members of Tokyo-based Amata K.K. have been developing games for other companies for the past decade. Last Labyrinth is their first original title.
A Kickstarter campaign has just been launched with a base goal of ¥2,000,000 (JPY)/$18,255 (USD). It will run until March 25, 2019.
Last Labyrinth is an Escape-the-Room adventure developed exclusively for VR. You begin the game in relative darkness, strapped in a wheelchair and barely able to move. A laser pointer is attached to your head and you have an on-off switch in your hand.
As your eyes adjust you see a mysterious young girl. You speak to her but she doesn’t understand. She does, however, respond to your head/laser movements. The two of you must work together if you ever hope to escape this place.
Supported HMDs will include PlayStation®VR, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Windows Mixed Reality Headset. Hardware is to include PlayStation®4, VR Ready PC (Minimum Requirements: Intel® Core i5 4590 or above/NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or above). The game will be download-only from PlayStation®Store, Steam®, Oculus Store and Microsoft Store.
The full version of Last Labyrinth will receive a multi-platform, worldwide release this Spring (2019). Meanwhile, if you like what you see, please consider backing the game on Kickstarter. I know Amata K.K. will be most appreciative.
