Developer Question is comprised of industry veterans featuring BioShock 2’s creative director and lead writer; the Senior Gameplay Programmer of Dishonored; and the Lead Effects Artist for BioShock Infinite. They have crafted a story concerning a group of teens who experience mysterious shared blackouts. Together, the teens uncover a conspiracy of occult-obsessed adults who have turned the town’s population into sleepwalkers.

They also discover a maze of tunnels beneath their idyllic town. They’ll need to capture the conspiracy on camera and prove its existence to the world.

Jordan Thomas, co-founder, Question: In The Blackout Club, the horror genre comes home,” said Jordan Thomas, Co-Founder, Question LLC. “Our story is about vulnerable heroes – for whom co-op gameplay is a matter of survival – who unite to save their friends.

Thomas continues: Since we revealed The Blackout Club, the response has both astonished and humbled us. First person experiences with deeply expressive systems are our lifeblood – and with The Blackout Club, we bring that freedom to the co-op arena. Together, human players combine their powers in ways that surprise even the game’s designers – and the world is so terrifying that they’ll need every ounce of that creativity to survive. We can’t wait to see how a whole new audience of players react, now that it’s available through Steam Early Access.

Currently, the Windows version is available at a time-limited discount on Steam Early Access. The game’s final version will be released in Q1 2019 for Windows, PS4 and Xbox One.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
