If you’re looking for a comedic graphic adventure game presented in a striking film noir style that also takes inspiration from classic Lucas Arts and Telltale adventure games, you’ve come to the right place. According to developer Pinhead Games, the latest Nick Bounty game “is a little bit Maltese Falcon, a little bit CSI, and a little bit Naked Gun.”

The full title is Nick Bounty and the Dame with the Blue Chewed Shoe. It’s the third in a series of Nick Bounty games, right behind Nick Bounty: A Case of the Crabs and Nick Bounty: The Gost in the Grey Fedora. It’s being built with Unity and represents Pinhead Games’ first commercial release.

This time out, Nick is called upon to discover who dumped a woman’s naked body in a playground sandbox. You, as Nick, will choose one of three (unlikely) sidekicks to assist you.

Mark Darin, founder of Pinhead Games: At Pinhead Games, we believe in the unique way that interactive games can present compelling storytelling and puzzling gameplay into a fully gratifying experience. Nick Bounty and the Dame in the Blue Chewed Shoe aims to capture the feel of those classic Point & Click adventures with a cinematic flair and healthy dose of humor!

With Telltale unexpectedly shutting its doors, I wanted to find a way to continue creating those captivating and thought provoking experiences that brought me to Telltale nearly 14 years ago. Pinhead Games offers me that opportunity and I’m committed to upholding a level of excellence that fans deserve.

Nick Bounty and the Dame with the Blue Chewed Shoe has exceeded its base goal on Kickstarter with 15 days remaining. Let’s hear it for stretch goals! Find a full listing on the game’s Kickstarter page.  Pinhead would welcome your backing.

Look for the game on Windows and Mac in late 2019.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. First, thanks to everyone how has played and supported the Nick Bounty games over the years. These games are my passion project and your support has kept me going!

The 3rd game in the Nick Bounty series, The Dame in the Blue Chewed Shoe, is now in development and I could use your support more than ever! I learned a lot about game design in my 14 years at Telltale games, both what to do and what NOT to do to keep players engaged and entertained, and I want to bring all of that to my latest effort. I want to bring back the feel of a Classic Point & Click but with everything I’ve learned about gameplay that supports the narrative.

The game is currently seeking fundraising on Kickstarter (Only 8 days left!) and a lot of those funds are going to contract other Ex-Telltale devs who are still looking for work after the surprise layoffs. Please consider backing the game whether it’s in support of the TTG Devs who lost their job, supporting Indie development, or just because you think the game looks cool!

It’s been a month now since TTG laid off it’s staff and I’m still looking for employment. I don’t mean to make this personal but I just wanted to share what a scary and difficult time this is, but it’s also extremely exciting to be working on something that I truly love.

    Thanks everyone!
