Seven Suspects. One Killer.

You are William Thane. Isn’t it bad enough that you’re struggling with alcoholism and depression? Now you’re trapped in an abandoned prison with six other people: a lawyer, a loner, a businessman, a teenager, an actor and a computer programmer. None of you knows how you got there. One of you is a sociopathic killer (and yes, it could actually be you).

Stonewall Penitentiary‘s focus is on exploration and narrative. It plays like an interactive novel and features standard adventure game mechanics.

Uncover the prison’s dark secrets as you make your way through the its eerie environment. Collect and use objects; solve potentially difficult, mind-bending puzzles and interact with your fellow captives as you try to discover the killer’s identity and search for a way out.

The game also offers optional content, 27 achievements to unlock, over 10 hours of gameplay and two different endings.

Unimatrix Productions is a two-person studio run by game designer Christopher Brendel. Stonewall Penitentiary is the fourth game in the ongoing series Storycentric Worlds.

Will you survive Stonewall Penitentiary and its many mysteries, or will it be your tomb? Find out starting May 14th, when the game will be released for Windows on Steam .

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
