Kingdom Come: Deliverance developer Warhorse Studios includes industry veterans who have worked on such franchises as Mafia, Crysis, ArmA and Operation Flashpoint. The game is an epic, story-driven, first-person, single-player action-adventure (think I used enough hyphens?) RPG that features a sprawling open world.

Set in Bohemia during the Holy Roman Empire in the late Middle Ages, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is rich with historically authentic characters, themes and warfare.

Over 50 actors from Czech Republic, Great Britain and the US have been assembled as the game’s voiceover/motion-capture talent.

In hiring Brian Blessed, Warhorse Studios has secured a British legend. He’ll become Lord Konrad Kyeser, a famous German military engineer who will assist player-character Henry who, after his town is destroyed and his family murdered, goes on an epic journey of vengeance. Henry is played by British actor Tom McKay.

Warhorse has its own in-house mo-cap studio, where over 240 minutes of full performance-captured cutscenes have been produced. Take a look:

As I understand it, a Beta version of the game is available. If you’re interested, you can read about it here.

Koch Media will publish Kingdom Come: Deliverance physically and digitally for PS4 and Xbox One along with the physical version of Windows under its Deep Silver Label. Warhorse Studios will be responsible for worldwide digital distribution on Windows. All versions — Windows and consoles — will share a common release date, which is TBD.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal.
