From husband-and-wife team D’Avekki Studios, the FMV murder mystery The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker will be released May 19, 2017 on Steam  for Windows and Mac.

Take on the role of a psychiatrist tasked with treating the unusual patients of the recently deceased Doctor Dekker. His murderer is among them, but which one is it?

Doctor Dekker is the first game of its kind to allow players to type their own questions instead of choosing from a pre-determined list. Patients will ask you questions as well. Your responses will influence the game’s nonlinear storyline and lead to multiple endings.

The game contains over 2000 full-screen HD videos — 1600+ of which are scripted responses — totaling almost seven hours of film.

Co-writer Lynda Cowles: The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker puts the psychology in psychological horror. Each character has layers of twisted story to uncover and the player can choose to help them and steer them towards their happiest ending, or hurt them and lead them somewhere much darker.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal.
