Step into the shoes of Paradigm, who’s been constructed by DUPA, a manufacturer of designer prodigy children. Unfortunately, it’s a process during which things sometimes go wrong.

This is what happens with Paradigm, who turns out all mutated and deformed. As a result, he’s dumped in a nearby post Neo-Soviet abandoned town called Kursz. IOW, he’s thrown away and left to look after himself as best he can.

But being a plucky little fellow, Paradigm doesn’t let this get him down. He finds comfort in music, and dreams of becoming the best electronic music artist in the world.

His immediate destiny turns out to be quite different, however. Before he can even think of recording an EP, he must save the world.

In his quest to do so, he’ll meet some mighty peculiar characters including a superhero who’s a psychopath, an evil sloth who is also a genetically engineered candy machine, and a glam metal cult leader pug.

Paradigm has been inspired by such classics as Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Space Quest and Full Throttle. It’s full of mature content and dark humor.

The game is to be released April 5th on Windows, Mac and Linux. Pre-orders are available here (scroll down to bottom of page).

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
