Okay. You’re Amanda Ripley. You know the drill. You’re trapped with a Xenomorph. This time, on a space station belonging to Weyland-Yutani.

The events in Alien: Blackout take place after those of Alien: Isolation. Or, if you prefer, between the films Alien and Aliens.

Ripley must survive by leading her crew through seven levels of fear using damaged controls. Every decision can be fatal.

Immersive and captivating, Alien: Blackout is designed for mobile gaming. Prepare to either survive or die wherever you go.

The game is to be released January 24th on iOS and Android, and will be available at the App Store, Google Play and Amazon Appstore.

Word has it that more Alien creations are being planned by various partnerships, although there have been no specifics so far. Also, it appears that Cold Iron Studios is working on an MMO for PC set in the Alien universe. Again, no specifics.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal.
