Board Game Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is Also Coming to PC

After one of the most successful board game crowdfunding campaigns of all time, developer Awaken Realms will also be releasing the game for PC/Windows on Steam

When Awaken Realms (This War of Mine: The Board Game, Lords of Hellas, Nemesis) launched a Kickstarter campaign for its latest board game — Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon — it was fully funded at $50,773 in a single minute. Less than three hours later saw $1,000,000 in pledges; $2,000,000 was pledged in the first 24 hours.

This time out, the developer has joined with well-known Polish fantasy writer Krzysztof Piskorski to bring board fans a truly epic adventure set in the original, dark interpretation of Arthurian myths. Branching plot twists are included; there will be many paths to take and several different endings to experience

Tainted Grail is an adventure, survival and exploration board game. It offers an immersive co-op/solo experience for 1–4 players and is centered around a non-linear, branching story. All this makes Tainted Grail a board gaming equivalent of the finest cRPGs out there.

The story of Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon will push the boundaries of non-linear narrative. Building upon rich experience, Awaken Realms has infused ambitious stories with excellent board game mechanics and striking visuals. It will be playable either solo or co-op for up to four players.

The Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon Kickstarter turned out to be the fourth most successful board game crowdfunding campaign on the platform ever, with over $6,200,000 gathered in pledges from almost 42,000 backers. This allowed its creators, Awaken Realms, to play an ace they’ve been hiding up their sleeves. Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon – a story-driven RPG set in the world of Arthurian legends – is coming to PC!

Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon will offer a tense exploration and survival experience set in a grim retelling of Arthurian legends. Full of stirring art and incredible, non-linear narrative, the game will offer a unique mix of discovery, challenge and exciting cRPG character progression, as well as combat and diplomacy systems.
