Close to the Sun is being developed with Unreal 4, the developer having been awarded an Unreal Dev Grant in 2018.

It takes place at the turn of the 20th Century. An alternate version of history, representing a second age of scientific enlightenment, is occurring.

You become Rose, a young journalist who is looking for her sister. Your investigations lead you to a huge ship complex called The Helios created by Nikola Tesla. As you approach it, you discover that something has gone terribly wrong.

Carlo Ivo Alimo Bianchi, CEO & Founder, Storm in a Teacup: We’re delighted to partner with Wired Productions and to see Close to the Sun benefit from their experience in titles with that extra level of depth. Working together enables us to focus on perfecting a game that we truly believe will be a new benchmark for Storm in a Teacup; a title that brings story, horror and character development together to a new level.

Leo Zullo, Managing Director, Wired Productions: Close to the Sun is a beautiful and unique title which showcases both the talent of the developer and the calibre of experience synonymous with the Wired Productions brand. Our pipeline for 2019 builds upon the quality titles we’ve brought to market over this past year, and we couldn’t be happier to announce this partnership with Storm in a Teacup.

Close to the Sun will be launched sometime in 2019 for PlayStation®4, the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X, and Windows.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
