Beginning November 22nd, Become Possessed by The Exorcist: Legion VR on Oculus and HTC Vive
Chapters 1 and 2 of the five-chapter series are to be released concurrently
The Exorcist: Legion VR is part investigation, part exorcism… and all horror.
From Fun Train and Wolf & Wood (A Chair in A Room: Greenwater, The Harbinger Trials) the game — built exclusively for VR — is based on the events in the movie The Exorcist III (1990), but with all-new content. Each of its five chapters will represent an exorcism based on a real case.
Remember Pazuzu? Well, he’s not here. He has, however, dispatched a variety of other demons to get in your face.
Each chapter will offer approximately 20-25 minutes of gameplay. Chapter 1: First Rites involves the grisly murder of a priest. In Chapter 2: Idle Hands, you’ll be confronting a schoolteacher who is tormented by an unseen force.
Douglas Nabors, CEO, Fun Train: This franchise deserves to be done right and the only way to have a truly definitive experience for such a story is in virtual reality. Playing a non-VR horror game is one thing when you’re safely behind a monitor. But, when you’re living the horror up close and personal, The Exorcist: Legion VR will resonate with you for years to come.
A VR headset is required to play The Exorcist: Legion VR. The game will support tracked controllers as well as “blink” and “free roam” locomotion options, and will allow you to change them within the game.
Chapters 1 and 2 will be released November 22nd on Windows, with Chapters 3-5 following soon thereafter.
