In Bertram Fiddle Episode 1: Dreadly Business (released in December 2014), Bertram attempted to track down an elusive serial killer known as Geoff the Murderer. He was unsuccessful.

Set in Victorian London, Kickstarter-funded Episode 2: A Bleaker Predicklement finds Bertram resuming the hunt for Geoff. Unfortunately, this leads to his being framed for murder. He must find a way to escape from prison, continue his quest and conclude the story.

Developed in collaboration with German game developer Deck 13, both episodes have been inspired by Victorian novels, Hammer horror films and Monty Python. Episode 2 promises to offer “more puzzles, peculiar pigeons and puns” than Episode 1.

According to Rumpus Animation, Adventures of Bertram Fiddle Episode 2: A Bleaker Predicklement is “a point-and-click adventure guaranteed to leave you gasping.” It’s to be released August 24th on Windows and Mac (Steam) and iOS.

And just in case you’re among the 7.2 billion people in the world and have yet to play Episode 1, it’s available on Steam and the App Store.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal.
