Arachnophobe alert: There be big spiders here
In Seven, you’re a lone traveler who roams the dual-natured, non-linear “beyond post-apocalyptic” sandbox world of Peh, a wild prison island, which is part the Empire of Vetrall. After having agreed to take on a dangerous mission, you discover that a demon named Artanak will accompany you. He’ll reside inside your head.
The world of Vetrall and its inhabitants have slowly recovered from the catastrophic events that once ravaged the land, but things will never be as they were. The game’s story actually has a dual nature: Dark Ages mixed with ultra-advanced technology. Within this framework, you will be faced with difficult moral choices that can have unforeseen consequences.
IMGN.PRO and Fool’s Theory are seeking to redefine isometric gameplay by creating a parkour climbing system that yields the ability to free-traverse obstacles of any height, both horizontally and vertically.
You’ll encounter plenty of monsters here; some natural, some engineered (and some spiders). You’ll also find magic, crafting, combat and a reputation system. Open-world exploration will play a big part in Seven‘s gameplay. You’ll travel alone (no party-formation).
Jakub Rokosz, Project Lead, IMGN.PRO and Founder of Fool’s Theory: Our greatest ambition is to bring a breath of fresh air into classic, isometric role playing games – a genre where the player was traditionally chained to the ground. Seven will bring a new type of exploration as well as open new possibilities for tactical planning and stealth gameplay. We are fully aware how big the challenge is, but it only gives us a greater motivation.
Bartosz Moskała, IMGN.PRO co-owner: Finally, we can unveil our new project that has already been in progress since June. We are setting the bar for ourselves on a brand new level, aiming to achieve a cutting edge gaming experience. The IMGN.PRO development team, freshly supplemented with the former Witcher 3 devs, currently consists of 16 experienced gamedev professionals, working full time on Seven.
At present, the plan is to release Seven: The Days Long Gone on Windows, but additional platforms may be added. It’s too early in development for a projected release date other than When it’s done.
