We thought it would
I’m not very good at these types of games, but Big Fish has come to the rescue with the ingenious Ravenhearst, the third game in the MCF series. It’s the first game of its kind that didn’t have me repeatedly falling on my face. I loved every minute of it. That’s not to say that the game is just for hidden-object schlubs like me, though. Two modes of play are offered here. “Relaxed” gives players buckets of time in which to solve each level, and “Detective” is more formal with shorter time limits. Guess which one I picked? The game’s engaging mystery is gradually revealed as one explores Ravenhearst Manor’s intricate rooms and grounds, locates sets of objects, then assembles jigsaw puzzle style pictures to uncover missing pages of the heroine’s diary. Ravenhearst’s suspenseful story held my interest throughout and kept me eager to discover what would happen next.
Ravenhurst boasts effectively creepy music, eerie background sounds, gorgeous graphics and a little humor thrown in for good measure. It’s absolutely brilliant from start to finish. So what are you waiting for, people? Get this game, and right now! I’m not gonna tell you again!!
