“In 1993, Trilobyte
Games released The 7th Guest, a massively successful adventure
game. The game was a technological landmark,
a visual masterpiece, and a work of storytelling genius. With it’s
follow up, The 11th Hour, millions of units were shifted worldwide.

But since the company
folded, a third game in the series was never produced…. until
now!

A group of The
7th Guest fans have assembled and are working on a third chapter in the series.”

Blood inside the library,

Where the last guest did fall.

Ryan has received permission from The
7th Guest rights holder to produce a
fan game. It will be a sequel to The 7th Guest and happen before the events
of The 11th Hour.

The game will tell the story of what happened to the young boy,
Tad, from The 7th Guest. While Tad was able to escape from Stauf,
there were still the souls of the many children who had been trapped
in Stauf’s dolls. The memory of those dolls and the children within
haunted Tad for many years, eventually causing him to be committed.

Many years have passed and a new doctor has come to the asylum.
With him, Tad may finally have the chance to rescue the children
and redeem himself.

The last was just a little boy
Dared to sneak at night
But he was the key to the madman’s door
He released the evil’s might.

Ryan has assembled a team from all over the world; Spain, Belgium, New Zealand,
and even such exotic places as Iowa. Together, they are working on a game
which will honor the style of the original 7th Guest.

The original mansion will be recreated, although it will be a bit
dustier than before. The puzzles will be in period and they hope
to achieve the same spooky atmosphere as the original. The marvelous
animated cursors have already been completed.

As you can see from the screen shots, much work has been done. Several
of the puzzles have already been programmed and are available for
separate download. Modeling of the mansion is well underway. But
there is a lot more to do. The project is open to anyone with talents
which they would like to contribute. Specifically, the team could
use more help with 3D modeling, artwork, music and puzzle design.
