Brian Basco is on vacation in Hawaii with his girlfriend Gina Timmins, after the two fell in love during their adventures in the first game in the series.

Gina is excited about taking a flying-boat trip to see Tiki Falls on Mala Island, and Brian reluctantly agrees to the excursion.

The couple boards a rickety old PBY Catalina run by Platypus Tours, but the trip goes badly and leads them into a new set of exotic adventures. These events are not finished in the game itself and are resolved in the third installment in the series.
