In 2007, scientists discovered a parallel universe and sent a U.S. government probe there. They learned that an alien civilization existed in that world, but the probe was damaged by a hostile alien, creating a black hole that threatened Earth.

Former U.S. Navy S.E.A.L. Cutter Slade is assigned to escort three scientists to the parallel universe in an effort to repair the probe and stop the danger. After arriving, he is separated from the scientists and meets the local inhabitants, the Talan.

Adelpha is facing its own crisis. A mysterious being named Faé Rhan has gathered an army of Talans who believe themselves superior and use violence to rule others. Cutter is proclaimed the Ulukai and must retrieve five sacred relics to overthrow Faé Rhan while also finding the scientists and saving Earth.
