It is 1925, and Edward Carnby is called to investigate the disappearance of a film crew at Slaughter Gulch, a ghost town in the Mojave Desert in California. Among those missing is Emily Hartwood.

Edward soon discovers that a curse has gripped the town. An evil cowboy from the Badlands named Jed Stone is responsible for the crew’s disappearance.

He must also contend with trigger-happy sharpshooters, deranged prospectors, and bloodthirsty lost souls, relying on both his strength and his wit to survive.
