In Subnautica, you’ll crash-land on an alien underwater world filled with wonder and peril; a world where the only way to go is down. You’ll craft equipment, pilot submarines and outsmart wildlife. You’ll explore lush coral reefs, volcanoes and cave systems. Above all, you’ll try to survive.
Having been in Early Access since December 2014, Subnautica has received a series of updates. The latest of these is the massive Precursor Array & Base, which features the tantalizing prospect of rescue, vast new areas to explore and mysterious alien technology.
Additional details concerning this update as well as previous ones can be found on the Early Access page.
Subnautica will be released on Windows, Mac and Xbox One and will support VR (HC Vive, Oculus Rift and OSVR). Note that VR mode will require the use of a gamepad or a keyboard and mouse.
The current update as well as the previous Bones Update will also be released for Subnautica (Game Preview) on Xbox One in the coming weeks.
The game’s final launch date is TBD.
