Nothing binds me…
In 2014 there was The Fall: the first chapter in a trilogy of games from indie developer Over The Moon. The series is a combination of Metroidvania-style exploration and combat, adventure-game puzzle-solving and side-scroller action, all set within a dark and atmospheric story. And now, in a bold leap forward for the franchise, The Fall Part 2: Unbound is heading our way.
John Warner, Director, Over The Moon: The Fall Part 2: Unbound takes everything we learned with The Fall, adds to it and improves on it exponentially. After seeing the reception The Fall received, we knew that people were excited to see ARID’s journey of self-discovery continue. We want The Fall Part 2: Unbound to deliver a thought-provoking story that will linger with players long after they finish the game, with gameplay that’s as fitting with that story as it is addictive.
Unbound picks up where the first chapter leaves off. It offers new characters, new gameplay twists, superb art direction and an even more engrossing story.
Players control ARID, an AI onboard a futuristic combat suit. In the first game, ARID is lost on an alien planet and struggles to save the life of the severely injured human occupant of the suit. In Chapter 2, ARID’s very existence is threatened when she is ejected from her body and projected onto a vast global network, where she must try to find help and is changed by the process.
Expect to see The Fall Part 2: Unbound in Q1 2017 for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Wii U, PC, Mac and Linux.
In celebration of this announcement, The Fall (Chapter 1) will be heavily discounted within the next couple of weeks, so keep checking your platform’s online store for an update. If you haven’t played the first chapter, now is a good time to do so. The Fall is available on Steam (Windows/Mac/Linux), PlayStation Store (PlayStation 4), eShop (Wii U) and Xbox Store (Xbox One).
