Lumo: A Puzzle-Platformer With a Name That Means "Enchantment" in Finnish
Publisher Rising Star Games and Helsinki-based indie developer Triple Eh?/Gareth Noyce invite us to see what happens when an old-school isometric game collides with a modern GPU
Arachnophobe alert: There be at least one semi-cartoonish, rather large spider here
Lumo is an isometric arcade-adventure reminiscent of such 8-bit classics as Head Over Heels, Knightlore, Alien 8, Chimera and Solstice. In fact, developer Triple Eh? describes it as Head Over Heels meets Solstice with a dash of modern Zelda.

You’ll play a young child lost in the depths of a mysterious castle that’s part museum, part death-trap. You must traverse 400+ rooms — each a self-contained challenge — in four unique zones.
The game also includes six hidden mini-games and many secrets to uncover. You’ll confront physical and logic puzzles, bring ancient machinery to life and uncover hidden areas in order to escape to the outside.

Additionally, you’ll find many layers of nods and winks to games of the ’80s and ’90s, and plenty of easter eggs. According to Triple Eh?, Lumo is a true love letter to the golden age of gaming…adventures don’t get much more heart-warming than this!
Having been Greenlit, the game will be available soon on Windows, PS4 and Xbox One.
