Remember Yesterday? Well, Here Comes Yesterday Origins – May 25, 2015
Yesterday Review – March 22, 2012
Yesterday Origins represents Pendulo Studios’ first foray into 3D, which will give the game unprecedented visual effects such as dynamic shadowing and realistic physics. However, Pendulo’s cartoon-style graphics, as in the Runaway franchise and The Next Big Thing, will be retained.
This will also be Pendulo’s first title for both Playstation 4 and Xbox One (it will be released on Windows and Mac as well).
As the game begins, we find young John Yesterday imprisoned by the Spanish Inquisition for witchcraft. Players then step into dual roles: a grown-up John and his partner Pauline, two immortals who run an antique shop in Paris.
The two embark on a journey to find the origins of immortality. This journey takes place in both the present and Medieval era (through a series of flashbacks).
The game’s 25 NPCs have other plans for John and Pauline. This leads to a breathtaking chase that spans the world, from France to the United States, with stops along the way in Spain, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
Yesterday Origins has an original musical score and is fully voiced. It also retains Pendulo’s distinctive, mature, offbeat tone with a sprinkle of black humor thrown in. The interface and controls are equally suited to joypad and mouse.
Look for Yesterday Origins September 29th on Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC and Mac. The game will be available in French, English, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian and Polish.
