Through the Woods Announcement Teaser, Screens, Info – April 21, 2014
Through the Woods is a 3rd-person horror adventure, the story of which has been influenced by Norse mythology and Norwegian folk tales. It’s been a month since the successful Kickstarter campaign for the game came to an end, and developer Antagonist has been hard at work. Read on…
Three new enemies have been designed; a start has been made on in-game music, and team members have appeared on NRK, Norway’s national TV station, discussing female leads in games.
Creature AI systems as well as a bird behavior system complete with crows have been added; a start has been made on stealth mechanics, and there’s been “a massive graphics overhaul with the help of our fully custom textures, SpeedTree, the Substance series, new custom assets, Sonic Ether’s ambient occlusion, and a beautiful, brand new, fully custom water shader.”
Now… Thanks to Playfield, Antagonist has a shot at getting a stand for Through the Woods at Gamescom in August. To that end, Antagonist is requesting your vote through its Antagonist Playfield page. Once there, all you need to do is click “Follow,” sign in (via Facebook or email) and click “I’d Play.”
