Download the demo – Although short and without many of the features that will be in the full game, it will give players an idea of what to expect.

Troll Song is an adventure game series that will tell the story of trolls as a people, a culture, a society. The trolls are under threat of extermination by an alchemist seeking to destroy the entire troll race by turning them back into “dead stone,” entombed forever in the mountains from which they were hewn.

These trolls may be big and strong, but they’re no mindless brutes. They are a simple but honorable people with their own sense of morality and honor. They’re a people who have feelings, develop friendships and even make music (sort of, at least).

For the four trolls who manage to survive the attempted trollicide, it’s not simply a matter of staying alive or seeking revenge. The trolls must learn about their history and the very origin of their race in order to discover what their future can be.

You play Clod, one of the trolls who manages to escape the fate of entombment. Using your trollish abilities, you must help your remaining friends escape as well.

Before your journey continues, you will find an unlikely ally and, along your path of discovery, you will discover that Clod is not just an ordinary troll. He has a destiny.

Game features:
– A very retro adventure game with some very modern features
– Full voice acting
– Full orchestral music score
– An intriguing story split into 5 “verses”
– A complete retelling of the origin story of the Troll race
– Large variety of puzzle types
– In-game hint system
– Detailed animation with thousands of sprites
– Lovingly crafted backgrounds

Indie developer Team Disaster hopes to release the first of the five Troll Song  “verses,” Completely Stoned, for PC and Linux in Q3 2015.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal.
