Bear With Me Early Teaser, Screens, Info
The point-and-click adventure from indie developer Indiefferent has been accepted by Square Enix Collective
Bear With Me has been inspired by the great point-and-click classics such as Monkey Island and Grim Fandango. The game, from indie developer Indiefferent, seeks to bring you the same quirky humor, strange adventures and noir setting in a black and white “horror” atmosphere.
Play Amber, a 10-year-old girl who, in the middle of a dark and stormy night, is awakened by strange sounds. You soon discover that your 12-year-old brother, Flint, has gone missing. To get to the bottom of what is going on you seek out the help of an experienced private eye, Ted E. Bear, who also happens to be your fluffy toy.
You soon discover that something very strange is going on in the house. There is a Red presence which does not seem friendly at all. As the plot thickens, you’re given the opportunity to control both Amber and Red and thus shape the hunter-hunted scenario.
Features:
~Classic point-and-click mechanic, explore the game with movement and interaction
~Hundreds of interactive items to explore, the mystery unfolds in Amber’s house which is full of objects with which to interact
~Dialogue full of puns — sarcastic, dark and funny — from start to finish
~Collect and combine items to solve the case of Amber’s missing brother
~Play both Amber and her hunter Red, which gives you the ability to control the non-linear story
Bear With Me has been accepted by Square Enix Collective, a curated platform that enables game creators to post ideas and gamers to judge whether those ideas should become reality. Every idea that’s successful with the community is checked and helped by Square Enix, while a partnership with world-leading crowdfunding platforms enables gamers to then back the ideas they love most.
Indiefferent is a two-person indie developer from Croatia: Hrvoje Maros handles graphics and sound, and Andrej Kovacevic handles programming and management.
Bear With Me will be released for PC and Mac. The release date is TBD.
