The Last Crown: Blackenrock will take place between The Lost Crown and The Last Crown: Haunting of Hallowed Isle
The Last Crown: Blackenrock Gameplay Video – May 8, 2014
The Jonathan Boakes/Darkling Room Crown franchise has become a quadrilogy. Three of the games are in simultaneous development.
The events of The Last Crown: Blackenrock, which is still in development and is set to release in 2014, take place after 2008’s The Lost Crown and before The Last Crown: Haunting of Hallowed Isle, which is currently in development.
The First Crown, which is the final game in the series, is also in development.
Iceberg Interactive CEO Erik Schreuder: “We often get questions when the next Crown game will be released, as does the developer. First of all we are thrilled that there is still a big following out there looking forward to the new Crown games. However, because of a synchronization of certain efforts, the developer has opted to develop the now three remaining games simultaneously, which means it absorbs a lot of time and planning is difficult, Darkling Room being a tiny studio. With this gameplay video we wish to reassure everyone that games ARE in production and progress is being made.”
