Brighton, July 01st, 2013 – Daniel is just an ordinary guy from modern times – a great videogame player, big lover of sci-fi movies, yet he has a mysterious lack of success with girls. During the middle of playing a role-playing game Daniel is teleported to Harnakon’s Castle and while he thinks he is having a massive hallucination, he decides to carry on his adventure. As he explores the castle, fights the monsters within, and even casts potent magical spells, Daniel comes to realize that not everything is as it seems…

Unepic seamlessly blends together role playing and platforming gameplay. With a humorous storyline, extensive game world and a huge variety of weapons and spells become absorbed by this modern take on two classic gaming genres.

Players can tweak Daniel’s skills to their own heart’s content. Fight a bewildering variety of monsters, from the lowly goblin to the gigantic dragon, with over 100 different weapons. If forbidden magic is more your calling, then 70 spells and magical items will please even the most discriminating would-be wizard. Monsters, weapons, potions, spells, quests, pets, bosses, a giant castle all come together to make the compelling and humorous story-driven game that is Unepic.

Publisher Lace Mamba is scheduled to release the retail version of Unepic throughout UK and rest of the world in Q3 2013. The retail edition of Unepic will be released at a recommended retail price of £9.99 and will include a free Steam upgrade key that will enable a multiplayer version of the game when available in Q4 2013.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
