We thought it would be fun to review some of the casual games we currently have available in our JA Casual Game Center. Needless to say, these games are very addictive and while our enthusiastic reviews are, for the most part short, the time spent playing these games is not. Once you have read the review, drop by the JA Casual Game Center and download a free trial version of the game for yourself, but remember – you have been warned!

Cake Mania screenshot - click to enlargeWhat would you do with the likes of grouchy Easter bunnies, hungry vampires and overworked cupids? How about short-tempered brides, impatient kids and Santa Claus? Why, you’d let ’em all eat cake — served up by Jill, the baker, in the cleverly quirky Cake Mania!

The plot is a familiar one: Jill’s grandparents’ bakery has been taken over by corporate nasties, and it’s up to Jill to make enough money to buy it back. In the process, she starts a bakery out of her home, then expands to a beach, a circus, and even a Las Vegas Casino! (You haven’t lived until you’ve seen vampires at the beach and Santa Claus in a casino…)

Cake Mania screenshot - click to enlargeCake Mania features probably the only bakeries on the planet in which one can work without gaining weight. But I can’t guarantee that playing the game won’t make you want to run right out, buy a delicious double-chocolate layer cake, and devour it in one sitting (she said guiltily, trying to zip her jeans).

Fortunately, you don’t need real cake in order to enjoy Cake Mania. It’s not only a tasty little game — it has no calories!
