Not a lot is known yet about this much-awaited title, but we asked Infogrames
if they could provide our Just Adventure readers with some screenshots to whet
our appetite for adventure/horror, and Derek was kind enough to oblige.
As
all true adventure fans are aware, the Alone in the Dark series of games
is loosely based on the macabre H.P. Lovecraft mythologies first popular in the
1920s and 1930s and now a favorite of college students and lovers of horror worldwide.
Infogrames
had a rolling demo of AITD4 at this year’s E3 in Los Angeles and it was
very impressive. While the plot of this new AITD could not be discerned
from the demo, we were taken aback by the gorgeous 3D graphics that so perfectly
set the mood for another terror-filled adventure.
Look for AITD4 to
be released on the Sega Dreamcast and the PC around the middle of 2000. We will
provide you with a full-blown preview as soon as we have more information available.
