| Study the gate carefully, noting that the two centre poles (5 and 6) have decorations on them and they also cannot be rotated. The area between these two poles must be cleared to open the gate, so bars C, D, E and H must be moved. In order to do this the other bars must first be moved out of the way. |

| Note: The left circle symbol rotates to the right and the right circle symbol rotates to the left (directions of the V’s) |
| BAR A |
| Rotate bar A once to either side so its stem faces the front or rear Slide bar A to the left, supported by poles 5 and 6 |
| BAR F |
| Rotate pole 12 once to the right so its stem faces the front Rotate bar F once to the right so its stem faces the front Slide bar F to the right, supported by 12 and 13 |
| BAR B |
| Rotate bar B once to either side so its stem faces the front or rear Slide bar B to the right, supported by 10 and 12 (Note that bar F had to be moved before bar B as pole 12 needed to be rotated before used to support bar B) |

| Rotate pole 11 twice to the right so its stem faces to the left Slide bar J to the right, supported by 10 and 11 |

| Rotate pole 7 once to the right so its stem faces the front Rotate pole 8 once to the left so its bottom stem faces the front Rotate bar E once to the right so its stem faces the front Slide bar E twice to the right, supported by 6 and 8 |

| Rotate pole 9 once to the right so its stem faces the front Rotate bar H once to the left so its stem faces the front Slide bar H to the right, supported by 6 and 9 |

| Rotate pole 1 once to the left so its stem faces the front Rotate bar G once to the right so its stem faces the front Slide bar G to the left, supported by 1 and 2 |

| Rotate pole 3 once to the left so its top stem faces the front Rotate pole 4 twice to either side so its top stem faces the front Rotate bar C once to the right so its stem faces the front Slide bar C twice to the left, supported by 3 and 4 |

| Rotate bar D once to the left so its stem faces the rear Slide bar D to the left, supported by 4 and 5 |
