Franklin Fargo is a quiet physics professor who has lived a lonely and bitter life since the death of his fiancée, Sophie. She was killed in a holdup in which he was supposed to be the victim.

He wakes up one morning in the middle of an abandoned underground scientific facility. His only connection to the outside world is a voice that calls him “Subject 13”.

His goal is to escape the place where he is trapped and learn why he has been imprisoned.
