Subject 13 will have a gripping storyline that plunges you into a thrilling mystery. It will take steady nerves, strong logic, and creative thinking to escape the terrifying circumstances that imprison you.

Few details concerning Subject 13‘s story/plot have been revealed, but this is how the game starts…

“Your name is Franklin Fargo. You’re a former physics professor. You live a lonely and quiet life after the death of your fiance. Day after day, it’s the same routine, filled with bitter memories of the life you lost. But when you wake up today, it’s different. You have a headache, feel dizzy, and have trouble opening your eyes. You quickly glance around you and you start to panic. You’re locked into a room that’s so small that it’s barely big enough to keep from suffocating. You take a deep breath, remembering what happened the day before. You were on the couch after eating your TV dinner. You were about to go to sleep. Then a blinding light burst forth throughout the whole room. You cried out in shock. This is the last thing that you remember.”

Paul Cuisset is a true adventure game pioneer. He was creative director of Delphine Software and is the developer of the rotoscoped adventure Flashback (the best-selling French video game of all time) and Future Wars. It’s now 22 years later, and Paul still loves spending his nights coding.

With the support of Microïds (the Syberia saga) Paul has created the concept and gameplay for Subject 13. If you like what you see, please consider supporting the game on Kickstarter. The campaign will run until August 8, 2014.

The current plan is to release Subject 13 in late 2014-early 2015 on Windows, Mac, Android, iPad, iPhone/iPod Touch.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
