Five amnesic college-aged teens suddenly appear with guns in the middle of New York City. Psychiatrist David McNamara is sent from Washington, DC to examine the case because of his previous work in the US Army with post-traumatic stress disorder.
From the start, the case seems unusual. David discovers that all five patients share the same origins and were fleeing from the same unknown person on an isolated military island. Using a PDA as a tape recorder, he pieces together their history by exploring the teens’ minds.
At the same time, David deals with his ongoing divorce and his own anger management problems, which ended his former relationship. In the end, it is revealed that the teens were part of a military experiment to create amnesic assassins, and David’s anger issues were side effects of a previous Army project.
