Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare (2013)

Edward Carnby and Aline Cedrac arrive on Shadow Island and are confronted by mysterious creatures while searching for three ancient tablets said to unlock a dangerous power. The island is filled with danger, and even the smallest shadow may hide secrets or worse.

Carnby, a supernatural detective, is drawn to the island after his friend Charles Fiske is found dead there. Fred Johnson tells him that Fiske had been searching for the tablets, and Carnby takes on the investigation to find the murderer and avenge his death.

The game blends action and suspenseful adventure in a dark atmosphere where conventional rules do not apply. Players control Edward Carnby through a detailed storyline, using a flashlight and a pistol to survive, gather items, and uncover clues.

It features detailed environments, a strong contrast between light and darkness, and two different adventures, with the choice of playing as Edward Carnby or Aline Cedrac.
