This was easily the ultimate
trip just to obtain a tchotchke. A flight to California to meet John
Saul, the author of The Blackstone Chronicles. Dinner and Murder
Mystery Theatre surrounded by famous people. A midnight tour through
the haunted Winchester House and an early morning one-on-one interview
with John Saul (who told some great off-the-record stories). I never
did figure out what the carrying bag with the cutting-board, cheese
knife and assorted cheeses had to do with the game, but the personally
autographed collector’s set of the complete Blackstone Chronicles
novellas are a keepsake to be forever treasured.
