Baron Wittard: Nemesis of Ragnarok Walkthrough, part 2 of 6
Viking Museum
Note
- Book on the floor of the gift shop
- Be sure to read about the Rune Stones and combine its information
with the information you found at the Information Desk.- Encrypted note in book
- Be sure to note Mother’s name once you decode the note.
Symbols
- Yellow Square on floor of Gift Shop
- Green Cross on firewood under pot at Viking House display
- Yellow Square in Image Stone display
- Red Eye on display plaque of Lotevag ship
Plot Holes
- Handicap access
- Some of the artifacts are supposed to be valuable. Why have
they been allowed to sit in an abandoned building for two years?
Why didn’t Aaron take some of them as well?
Security Office
Note
- What you can see on the monitors
- Copy down the clue painted on the water tank.
- The note in the book on the table. Copy the whole thing as every
symbol and word on it is a clue.- The Rune Stone under the right-hand side of the table
- The control box near the floor just to the left of the door
- The puzzle in the locker
Symbols
- Green Cross on the side of the light fixture in the ceiling
Plot Holes
- Where is the key cabinet?
- Where is the log book?
- Who installs an electrically active control box down on the
floor where it will collect dirt, get kicked and get slopped on
by mops?
Unfinished Apartment
Note
- The Unfinished Apartment is on the second floor on the other
side of that metal wall.- The metal wall is controlled by the switch near the floor in
the Security Office.- Copy down the chalk marks on the floor in the kitchen area.
They are an important clue.- The hole in the wall next to the boarded up window. This is
the entrance to the Finished Apartment.Symbols
- Green Cross under the can of paint near the entrance
Plot Holes
- We will discuss the whole metal wall thing in the Wittard Office
section.- In the USA construction workers must supply their own hand tools.
They would never be left at the construction site for fear of
vanishing in the night. So what are all the tools doing here?
Finished Apartment
Note
- Finished Apartment is first entered via hole in the wall from
the Unfinished Apartment.- Plate of chocolates on kitchen divider. This is a puzzle which
hides a Rune Stone.- Paper on the coffee table in the Living Room. This is a clue
to the Information Desk Safe.- Lock on the front door. You should exit this way.
Symbols
- Green Cross in damaged floor near front door
Plot Holes
- Compare the condition of this apartment with the condition of
the foyer inside the entrance of the Café. Why the difference?- Buildings don’t just get shut down and abandoned due to
construction issues. Someone is responsible for every phase of
construction and everyone is insured. Otherwise, the project could
not attract financing. The foundation subcontractor would have
been called in at the first sign of severe settling and would
have been obligated to fix the problem. It would never have gotten
as far as the Counsel. Even if the problem only made itself known
the day before opening, recovery work would have started immediately.
The building would not have been abandoned for two years.
Roof
Note
- The only thing to do up here is to figure out how to turn the
bridge so that you can get to the Observatory.Symbols
- Green Cross on top of first Power Cabinet
- Red Eye on floor at entrance to bridge
- Yellow Square on bin next to second Power Cabinet
Plot Holes
- Why is the door damaged?
- Some aspects of the Roof imply that the public is welcome. Other
aspects imply that it is for employees only. Which is it?- This is a very awkward way to get to the Observatory. The entire
building would feel the vibrations and hear the noise every time
someone moved the bridge.- The puzzle is in a very awkward place if it was supposed to
be used regularly.
Observatory
Note
- The note on the desk. It contains the clue for the Maintenance
Room Puzzle.- Also take note of all of the Baron’s relations. They are
clues to another puzzle.- Rune Stone in middle desk drawer
Symbols
- Green Cross outside observatory left of door
- Yellow Square inside door on fallen urn to left
- Green Cross on book on desk
- Green Cross on side of telescope base
Plot Holes
- Obvious Plot Hole #1 – Why? Why a very large and expensive
telescope? No researchers were lined up for it. The Norse were
not enamored of astronomy, was the Baron?- The entrance to the building and the info stations around the
dome all point to this being a public attraction. How is the public
supposed to get there?- Public or not, where is the emergency fire exit?
Medical Bay
Note
- The steam cabinet device next to the door. It is a Rune Stone
dissolution puzzle.- To unseal the door, just use the video camera on it/Fenrir.
- Rune Stone appears after you use video camera on Fenrir.
Plot Holes
- Why all the blood? Fenrir doesn’t leave blood and if it
was an accident why wasn’t it cleaned up?- Where is all the medical stuff? Even if the supplies hadn’t
arrived, there should be outlets for devices and gasses. We are
in the middle of nowhere so we would expect to be supplied as
well as an ambulance or emergency room.
Wittard’s Apartment
Plot Holes
- Seriously, the only way to get to this apartment is to get down
on your hands and knees in the Security Office and then to trespass
through two presumably occupied apartments in order to access
the secret elevator?- Or does that whole section of the 2nd floor need to remain unrented
so as to enable the clever secret?- Yet there is still a way to get here via the elevator, so we
block that off with shelving and boxes? How clever and mysterious- Structural damage and weathering above us, structural damage
and weathering below us. Yet this apartment complex is perfectly
preserved.- And again, where is the emergency fire exit?
Wittard’s Office
Note
- Rune Stone in bottom left desk drawer
- The Baron’s first name is on the Architectural Innovation
Award- The diary identifies the Baron’s grandfather
- The image in the diary is the solution to the puzzle on the
Inner Garden Mezzanine.- Note down the dots around the image, especially the dot which
is circled.- The panel to the left of the fireplace hides a puzzle.
Symbols
- Yellow Square on Architectural Innovation Award
Wittard’s Living Room
Note
- Switch in the corner of the room left of the sun mosaic wall
- Studded box on room divider
- Letter on chess table (clue to puzzle in Wittard’s Office)
Symbols
- Red Eye at top of column
- Green Cross under bishop chess piece
Plot Holes
- Aaron hung out here, alone, for two years. Why doesn’t
this place look like a bachelor pad?
