Dreamfall Chapters to Travel to the World of Consoles – December 4, 2016

Previously announced as a March 24th release, Dreamfall Chapters from Red Thread Games and Deep Silver will now launch May 5, 2017 on PS4 and Xbox One. It will be the complete game (all chapters) and available in both digital and boxed versions.

The console versions will feature reworked character models; improved animation, lighting and special effects; an expanded in-game soundtrack; and improved sound effects.

A “Final Cut” of the Windows/Mac/Linux version of the game, also comprised of all chapters, is to be released May 5th as well.

Dreamfall Chapters is a story of choices and consequences, dreams and reality, magic and science, chaos and order, and the broken heroes whose actions will shape the course of history. It’s set in parallel worlds: one, a dark cyberpunk vision of our future; the other, a magical fantasy realm. You also face a broken and decaying dreamscape.

Become three different characters on separate paths. Visit 50 locations, solve plot-driven puzzles and meet over 100 fully-voiced characters. Your choices and actions will shape the story, with sometimes devastating consequences.

So…look for Dreamfall Chapters on PS4 and Xbox One, as well as a complete “Final Cut” on Windows, Mac and Linux May 5, 2017. Happy dreaming.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
