A first version of The Plague, planned for Windows and consoles, will be unveiled in February at What’s Next de Focus. This event in Paris showcases games by Focus Home Interactive. An early version of the game will be presented, as The Plague is currently in pre-production.

At this point, little (okay, nothing) is known about the game’s narrative. However, more info and visuals are planned for February.

Sebastian Wloch, CEO, Asobo: Collaborating with Focus Home Interactive on a new, original creation of our team is a major step in the development of our studio,” says For this ambitious project, we needed the full support of a strong and growing publisher. The Focus team, through their professionalism, enthusiasm and openness, have naturally established themselves as the ideal partners to bring the experience we wish to offer to players.

Cédric Lagarrigue, President, Focus Home Interactive: It is a great pride for Focus to accompany Asobo on an original creation of the studio. This new signature confirms our results and know-how on the support of talented independent studios such as Dontnod, Deck13, Giants Software, Cyanide, New World Interactive and Larian on increasingly ambitious projects worldwide. There is a real upscaling of our catalog and The Plague will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of the next years of Focus.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
