Morning Men is the story of a young woman named Luditte who lives in Citadel City, the last refuge of humanity. Its theocratic ruler, the Copper Hand, controls everything. Resources are scarce. Advanced technology is prohibited. But even though life here is difficult, it’s preferable to fighting for survival in the wastelands that surround The City.

When Luditte is branded a heretic for associating with an AI named Jasper, she must flee The City. Pursued through the wastelands by The Hand’s henchmen, she must seek answers in order to survive.

Morning Men weaves morally ambiguous narrative choices with classic adventure game progression built around a turn-based JRPG combat system. You’ll be traveling with companions, each of whom is unique.

And you will make choices, none of which is clear-cut. What you decide will have an impact on your companions. You could help them, hurt them or completely ruin their lives.

Perhaps the only way to save them is to destroy everything they hold dear. How much will you sacrifice to survive?

Morning Men combines elements of contemporary moving comics with colors and motifs reminiscent of Moebius (Jean Girard) to create a strong visual style. Its characters are a cross between those in Wizards and The Fifth Element.

The game currently appears as a Concept/Project in Early Development on Steam.  According to developer Pixel Federation, it’s to be released on Windows and Mac in Summer 2016.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
