In Avorion, you’ll be able to build ships with powerful weaponry; blow your enemies (or friends) away; haul cargo; trade; become a pirate/raider, smuggler or scavenger; hire yourself out as protection — whatever suits your play-style.
In a procedurally-generated sci-fi sandbox, you’ll start out at the edge of a galaxy and must find your way to its core. The closer you get, the more hostile and rewarding things will become. Co-op and PvP will be supported.
Boxelware founder and lead developer Konstantin Kronfeldner: Avorion started four years ago as a side project to my university studies. Since I’ve now finished my degree I want to concentrate on the game full-time. Avorion has grown very dear to us all and we want to see it live up to its full potential.
A Kickstarter campaign with a base goal of $17,115 has been launched; it will run until May 13, 2016. Your backing would be most appreciated.
Avorion has already been Greenlit, and Boxelware plans an Early Access release on Windows and Linux in Q4 2016.
