Jujubee’s Official Statement: We would like to clarify a few things about our upcoming game KURSK because we see that there are some concerns. We are fully aware that this tragedy was a very painful topic for the Russian society and we can assure you that the game will be made with all the respect. There are many movies and books about current, very often painful events and we feel that games are now also a form of art and that the time has come for our industry to talk about serious and real topics. KURSK will be a game for the mature audience that can appreciate a deep storyline and our main goal is to do it right, without offending anyone. We hope that the final game will put all concerns to rest and that players will realize how much bravery it takes to live and work on a submarine.

According to Jujubee, the game will look at the KURSK tragedy from a new angle. It will combine first-person action with heavy focus on a carefully-crafted story and engrossing gameplay.

Michal Stepien, CEO of Jujubee: KURSK will definitely be a game for mature audiences looking for a unique and cinematic experience. There is still controversy surrounding the real fate of this Russian submarine and with our game we hope to raise and answer some questions.

Jujubee has also published a short interview with Stepien that addresses the game and the controversy surrounding it.

KURSK will be released on PC/Windows, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at a date TBD.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal.
