The developer of the psychological horror adventure Enola now invites you into a combination of Lovecraftian horror, Metroid and Tomb RaiderThe Nightmare from Outspace.

You’ll take on the role of Sanja and explore an abandoned space station in an effort to discover what’s happened and where everyone has gone. But you won’t be alone. In the shadows, unspeakable horrors await.

Nightmare combines exploration, platforming and environmental puzzle elements on a labyrinthine set. It will feature rewarding exploration; brutal and deadly enemies; new abilities and powerups; a dark, intriguing story and multiple endings.

Sergio Rosa, founder of The Domaginarium: The idea of adding platforming to a horror game came to me after I watched the movie The Descent, in which a group of explorers are trapped in a cave. As for the story, I am a fan of Lovecraft, and his stories The Dunwich Horror and The Shadow over Innsmouth are a big inspiration for the story of our game.

Balbino Aylagas, game programmer and founder of the first and only game development school in El Salvador: Since we are from El Salvador, we have our own way to see things, and a very different cultural background, and we can use that to explore different storytelling and gameplay ideas for this game, hoping to create a unique experience.

Currently in the early stage of development, The Nightmare from Outspace will be released on PC/Windows at a date TBD.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal.
