Zeus is back, and CrazySoft’s got him. The indie studio has set out to completely remaster (reinvent, actually) an adventure game called…er…Zeus Quest. Except this one will be called Zeus Quest Remastered. It only makes sense.
CrazySoft: Everything will be remade in FHD fresh vector cartoons, 60FPS fully animated characters and new music and soundtrack. The only thing we will keep intact is the hilarious plot and dialogues. The remake will be possible with the famous game engine Unity3D.
Zeus, the title character, is unlike any Zeus you may have read about in Greek mythology. King of the gods? No-no-no. This Zeus is funny!
Basically, here’s how it goes: An ancient security mechanism sends Zeus a message and says he must go to Earth, find pieces of a time machine, put it together and use it to save the planet. Simple, eh?
This leads to a grand adventure in the Greek Islands, displayed in completely remastered graphics (I’ll skip the technical talk). See?
You’ll have hundreds of puzzles to solve, meet all sorts of NPCs, engage in general silliness and visit many locations such as Santorini, Delos, Mykonos, Milos, Karpathos and Crete.
Initially, Zeus Quest Remastered will be released for PC/Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, Windows Phone 8 and Blackberry 10, with more to follow. The final product will support English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Greek. If all goes as planned, the game will be released late this year or early in 2016.
Meanwhile, CrazySoft is requesting our help. An IndieGoGo campaign with a flexible funding goal of $16,860 was launched two days ago and will run for the next 38 days. A Greenlight campaign has also been launched. If you like what you see, your backing of Zeus Quest Remastered would be greatly appreciated!
