In Ira, players will solve puzzles based on both inventory and the environment using point-and-click mechanics. The story will unfold according to dialog choices and Ira’s responses to other characters and situations.

Ira had always dreamed of going to the stars. While still a young boy, he had seen the launch of Earth’s first mission to a newly discovered solar system.

Fifteen years later, a transmission is received signaling the mission’s successful arrival. A sister ship is constructed to transport a second research team to the solar system. This time, Ira is able to join them.

Upon waking from stasis, however, he finds that he’s alone, with only rudimentary AI to help him discover what might have happened.

Developer Ore Creative: Ira is not a story about a single set of events, but rather the story of an enigmatic place and the man who finds himself lost in it. As Ira navigates his way through the solar system, memories of his past growing up on Earth will unfold as playable sequences, showcasing decisive moments in his life and painting a more complete portrait of Ira and what brought him to the system. Memories held within the very places where Ira travels will also reveal themselves. Like specters of the system, this parallel timeline will hold the events of the first crew and showcase unique characters that bring humanity and meaning to the otherwise alien system. These three timelines run in parallel and interweave to tell one overarching story, bound by fate and running together towards one momentous end.

Ira is slated for release in early 2016 for PC, Mac and Linux.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
