Project Scissors: NightCry Kickstarter Video, Teaser Movie, Screens, Info – February 3, 2015

Behold some new gameplay videos and more screens from indie developer Nude Maker, and catch new glimpses of the Scissorwalker…

Note: in the following gameplay trailer, Monica hides from the Scissorwalker by climbing into a clothes dryer and shutting the door. Please do not try this at home or anywhere else. Seriously.

You’re onboard a luxurious cruise ship, but this ain’t the Love Boat, folks. One of your fellow passengers is a dark terror: the Scissorwalker. It wants you (and everyone else, for that matter) dead. And it appears to be unstoppable.

Fighting back won’t work. You can run and hide, but try not to panic. If you’re to endure, you’ll need to have your wits about you — even as the victims start piling up.

NightCry will offer branching storylines leading to multiple endings. Hopefully, at least one of them will see you survive.

From the developers: Titles with original ideas and innovative gameplay, which have been the creative bedrock of this industry, have been largely pushed to the side in Japan…Join us on this journey to a dark place and come out with a new appreciation of what Japanese game creators can do!

A release date for Project Scissors: NightCry is TBD. Until then…sweet dreams, kiddies.

I've been with JA in one capacity or other since 2003. I'm currently website administrator. I'm also a digital artist (my avatar is one of my creations). I write reviews and articles, create graphics and basically help tend the site. It's work I enjoy very much. I love playing games of all kinds, but adventure and RPGs are my favorites (particularly scary/dark/unsettling ones). At the top of my list are The Cat Lady, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Still Life (first one only), Scratches and Culpa Innata. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool recluse and prefer the company of animals, hardware and ghosts to human beings (no offense). And no bio would be complete without my saying that I do NOT care for phones of ANY sort. Further, I think Dell computers are garbage and that Microsoft has become megalomaniacal. "I put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process." - Vincent Van Gogh "I need solitude for my writing; not like a hermit - that wouldn't be enough - but like a dead man." - Franz Kafka "I've been to hell and back, my boy." - Susan Ashworth, The Cat Lady
