Pneuma: Breath of Life Trailers, Screens, Info
Embark on a journey of self-discovery and explore the nature of reality in this VR-enabled first-person puzzler from indie developers Deco Digital and Bevel Studios
Pneuma: Breath of Life offers a variation of the following well-known philosophical question: If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?
The game poses this: Reality is that which is observed. What happens in a world when no one is watching? Anything? Nothing? Is anything even there? Well, you’ll get to discover answers as you explore the fundamental nature of being through the eyes of a god called Pneuma.
Pneuma: Breath of Life will immerse you in this god’s story, where you’ll wrestle with reality as you discover the genesis of the universe surrounding you. You’ll be accompanied by award-winning VA Jay Britton as the voice of Pneuma. And a fine voice it is, too.
Developers Deco Digital and Bevel Studios have assured us that Pneuma can be quite difficult. The game will put your mind to the test and push your brain to its limits with lateral-thinking puzzles that demand close attention to detail along with finely-honed perception, observation and analysis skills. You’ll be pushed to think outside the box and explore beyond your understanding of reality.
Will you be up to the challenge?
Pneuma: Breath of Life will also offer a visually-stunning experience via the Unreal 4 Engine and physically-based rendering of a virtual world that will construct itself around you. For an even more immersive experience, the game will fully support Oculus Rift DK2.
Pneuma‘s initial launch date, February 27th, will be a 30-day Xbox One exclusive. A PC launch will follow, and additional platforms may be announced at a later date.
